Four Slough borough schools have made it into the top 100 in the country for GCSE results, with Royal Borough schools lagging behind.
League tables released by the Department for Education reveal that Langley Grammar School is the 29th best in the country for GCSE results.
The results rank schools with more than 30 Key Stage 4 pupils on the number of children who achieved at least five A* to C grades in GCSE subjects, including English and maths.
At Langley Grammar School 100 per cent of pupils achieved that target.
At Herschel Grammar School in Northampton Avenue, St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School and Upton Court Grammar School 99 per cent of pupils hit the target. The schools were ranked 77th, 82nd and 85th respectively.
However Upton Court's senior assistant principal Naveed Hussain says the school disputes the statistics, adding that 100 per cent of its students hit the five-grade target.
Ascot’s independent Marist Girls School topped the Royal Borough charts for GCSE results with 98 per cent achieving at least five A* to C grades.
While 85 per cent of pupils at Charters School in Sunninghill achieved the target, making it the best Royal Borough run school for GCSE results.
At Newlands Girls’ School 75 per cent of pupils earned five A* to C grades, while 68 per cent of Cox Green School pupils achieved that target.
Just 51 per cent of Desborough College pupils earned at least five A* to C grades.
No Slough schools made it into the top 100 list for A-level results. That league is based on the average number of points scored by each A-level student.
Within Slough Borough, Herschel Grammar topped the A-level results, with an average point score of 230, 15.2 points above the national average.
St Bernard's is ranked second in Slough, with a score of 226.9.
Private school Eton College was ranked seventh nationally for A-level results while fee-paying St Mary's School in Ascot is placed in 22nd.
Newlands Girls School was the highest performing state school in the Royal Borough for A-level results. Girls there earned an average of 223.6 points.
Altwood Secondary School came bottom of the borough list, with an average point score of 183.9.
