In the public notices this week there are motorway closures, a footpath closure and several local road closures.
Traffic
National Highways intends to carry out overnight closures on sections of the M4 between junction 5 and junction 10, on the A404(M), on the A308(M), and on the A404, for maintenance and renewal.
The closures may include both carriageways, slip roads, link roads, hard shoulders, emergency refuge areas and the circulatory systems at M4 junction 8/9, Bisham Roundabout and Handy Cross Roundabout.
Some closures will also allow heavy goods vehicles to use the outside lane during inside-lane closures.
The programme of works will start on or after Friday, January 2, 2026. Overnight closures will take place between 9pm and 6am.
Traffic will be diverted via other junctions of the M4, A404(M), A308(M) and the A404, or via the A4, A308, A329(M), A338, A339, A419, A3290, A4094, A4130, A4155, B3270 and the B4192, depending on which closure is in place.
Signs will show all closures and diversions when they are in operation.
This closure order will remain in force until Thursday, December 24, 2026.

The Royal Borough intends to prohibit vehicles from using Warren Row Road between the boundaries of the property known as Blacksmiths Barn.
This is for roadworks so Thames Water can install a new water supply connection to a property.
The closure will be in place from 10pm on Tuesday, December 16 until 6pm on Wednesday, December 17, when signs are displayed.
Traffic will be diverted via Warren Row Road, Upper Culham Lane, A4130 Henley Road, Rose Lane and Warren Row Road.

The Borough further intends to close Dungrovehill Lane from the boundary of the property known as Barn Conversion, Lee Lane, to its junction with Michael’s Path. The closure is for drainage works. It will operate daily between 8am and 4pm from Monday, December 15 until Friday, December 19.

Finally, the council is also seeking to close Hurley Lane from its junction with Footpath 20, Bisham to the A404.
The closure is required to stop traffic accessing the National Highways network during a road closure.
It will be in place from 9pm on Thursday, December 4 until 5am on Friday, December 5.

Footpath closures
The Borough intends to close Footpath No. 1, Hurley, from the Borough boundary to its junction with Footpath 59, also in Hurley.
As part of the same closure order, the council further intends to close Footpath GMA/1/1 in Marlow from the Borough boundary to Temple Lock.
The closure is for bridge removal and installation works.
It will begin at a minute past midnight on Wednesday, December 17, and will last for up to six months or until the works are completed.
