The latest public notices in the Maidenhead Advertiser include revised plans for a new self-build home in Holyport.
Planning
A planning application has been submitted to the Royal Borough seeking planning permission for a self-build property near to the junction of Holyport Street and Holyport Road.
The plans are for a plot of land between two properties known as Green View and Glenside.
If planning permission is granted, the site will be sold to a self-build developer who will have the final say over the design of the property.
The site has already been the subject of three failed attempts for new housing.
The latest of these was in July when the council blocked plans for a four-bedroom home.
Council planning officers said the development failed to prove it would not have a negative ecological impact on protected and priority species.
The latest scheme proposes a ‘scaled back’ property compared to the previous plans, according to a planning and heritage statement submitted on behalf of the applicant by Cameron Jones Planning.
The statement added that previous reasons for refusal have been ‘robustly addressed’, particularly with updated ecological surveys.
If approved, the self-build property would be two-storeys and feature a substantial private garden, detached garage and off-street parking.
