Public notices: Road and footpath closures in Slough and Windsor

Slough Council is looking to close the road in Elliman Avenue, from its junction with Shackleton Road

In the public notices this week, there are road closures in Slough, as well as footpath closures in Eton and Windsor.

Slough Borough Council is looking to close the road in Willoughby Road, Langley, from its junction with High Street.

This is for roadworks scheduled from a minute past midnight on Monday, November 3 to 11.59pm on Sunday, November 16.

The closure is to allow works to take place. An alternative route will be provided with diversions clearly marked at the time of closure.

Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses.

Although work is expected to be finished in two weeks, as in all cases, the closure could last up to 18 months.

Any longer and special permission has to be given by the Secretary of State for Transport.

Work is expected to be finished in three weeks.

Meanwhile, the Royal Borough is looking to close the footpath from Hemwood Road to St Leonards Hill, Windsor, for a stretch of 20 metres south from its junction with Hemwood Road.

This is to allow district meter replacement works, from 8am on Monday, July 14 to 5pm on Friday, July 18.

The alternative route is via other connecting footpaths and nearby roads.

The Borough is also looking to close part of Footpath No 39, Eton, from its junction with Footpath No 46 to its junction with B3026 Eton Wick Road.

This is to allow property refurbishment works and will take effect from a minute past midnight on Thursday, July 17 for up to six months.

An alternative route for pedestrians is signposted using surrounding roads and footpaths.
