A resident consultation for the regeneration of the former Thames Valley University site will take place next week.

Muse, a home developer, has launched a 'community conversation' as part of regeneration plans for the North West Quadrant in Slough.

The government’s housing and regeneration agency, Homes England, acquired the former Thames Valley University site in 2023 to support the area's regeneration.

The area was identified as a location for a new mixed-use neighbourhood by Slough Borough Council.

Homes England has partnered with Muse to develop a comprehensive plan for the regeneration of the town centre location.

Chris Scott, Development Director at Muse, said: “North West Quadrant is an exciting opportunity to deliver regeneration in the heart of Slough.

"We are working in partnership with Homes England, and collaborating closely with Slough Borough Council, to understand the potential of this location and the opportunity for regeneration.

“Whilst North West Quadrant has long been identified for regeneration, we are starting with a fresh perspective.

"We want to hear from the community and understand what they like about Slough, and what could be improved, as well as how North West Quadrant could contribute to the regeneration of the town.”

Adjacent to Slough Train Station and the town centre’s retail core, North West Quadrant could include new homes, workspaces, retail opportunities, and public spaces.

Muse is launching a consultation website and holding a Community Conversation event on March 27 between 12pm and 7pm to help develop a regeneration masterplan.

This consultation at The Curve Gallery, William Street will allow residents to tell the project team about the area and what they want to see from a potential new neighbourhood.

No proposals will be shown as part of the consultation, but the feedback received will support the development of a vision for the site to inform the preparation of detailed plans.

Further information on the project and how to leave feedback will be available on the project website from March 25 at www.northwestquadrant.commonplace.is

Residents can contact the project team at consultation@plmr.co.uk or 0800 368 4758.
