Two of Maidenhead's Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls have been chosen as part of Team EDF.
Gold medallist rower Tom Aggar, of Switchback Road, is one of 36 athletes chosen to help the energy company and games sponsor strengthen its links with sport.
Reigning world champion Tom Aggar said: "I'm passionate about helping the environment so I'm delighted to be involved in helping promote EDF Energy's vision for a lower carbon London ahead of the Games."
Olympic silver medallist Katherine Grainger MBE, who lives in Maidenhead, is also one of the line up, and was at the launch with Seb Coe at Tower Bridge.
Katherine trains in Marlow and said: "Hopefully my Team EDF colleagues and I can play a role in helping to spread the message and help people become more sustainable."
