An open day is taking place at Maidenhead Fire Station on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Bridge Road base will host the event from 11am until about 4pm.
Visitors will have the chance to check out some of the engines used by the crews based at the station, while the Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution will also have stalls.
Crew manager Martin Simmonds said: “The point of the day is about getting our fire station to be more community based and getting the community more involved and used to it.
“That’s why we’ve invited local charities to come along and at the same time people get to come along and see how the fire station is run.”
