The Advertiser’s campaign to save Maidenhead Post Office has now seen more than 1,000 people pledge support.
The latest count, at which 1,231 forms had been returned, coincided with the end of the first week of the Post Office’s public consultation into plans for the High Street Branch.
Proposals released last week detail a scheme whereby services would be taken over by WHSmith and moved to the newsagent’s store in the Nicholsons Centre.
This move would include an extension of opening hours.
