A high voltage trip has caused a power cut in Maidenhead this afternoon.
Electricity was cut off in the area surrounding Cannon Lane and Claires Court School Ridgeway has also been affected.
A spokeswoman for Southern Electric said the power went off at 1.15pm because of a high voltage trip on the network.
She said engineers are working on the problem and hope to restore power as quickly as possible.
UPDATE: 4.20PM: Houses have had their electricity restored but Ridgeway School is still without power this afternoon.
The electricity came back on at 2.38pm to houses in the affected area, including those in Cherry Garden Lane, Farmers Way, Westacott Way, Furrows Way and Culley Way.
Emergency generators are being brought into the Maidenhead Thicket boys' school while engineers hope to resolve the problem this evening.
