An £82,000 grant has been awarded to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts by Arts Council England.
News of the cash was revealed today by the centre in Altwood Road.
It follows a successful application to the organisation's Grants for the Arts scheme. Some of the one-off payment will go towards a new digital film projector.
Norden's £143,000 annual funding from the arts council ended in April.
A new board of trustees for the centre was elected earlier this month.
Of those, Paul Rutherford has since been announced as the new chairman.
"This award is in recognition of a lot of hard work by the staff at Norden Farm and makes a significant contribution to investing in future digital programmes," he said.
"However the board has not lost sight of the short term funding challenge."
