A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after the homeowner allegedly disturbed him in the bathroom.
Jonathan Ian Stewart was charged with breaking into a house in Bath Road, Maidenhead, and was arrested on Wednesday at about 7pm.
The homeowner alerted police and also attended the house, which was unoccupied at the time, after being alerted by an alarm.
Mr Stewart, of Reddington Drive, Langley, was remanded into custody at Slough Magistrates' Court on Friday ahead of a hearing scheduled for Friday, September 7.
