Voluntary workers make a vital contribution to society.
Now their friends are being asked to put names forward for this year's 'Volunteers of the Year' awards in the Royal Borough.
The awards are organised by Windsor and Maidenhead Voluntary Action (WMVA) in partnership with the Radian housing association.
They have been going for 14 years and are designed to celebrate the commitment of individual volunteers, or groups of friends and colleagues who contribute their help for free to organisations and good causes.
Nominees and their guests will be invited to the awards evening at the Olympic and Paralympic venue Eton Dorney on Thursday, October 4.
For nomination forms visit www.wmva.org, email info@wmva.org or phone 01753 622433.
Closing date for nominations is Friday, September 7.
