A Lithuanian man has been jailed for a brutal assault in Maidenhead which left his victim with serious facial injuries.
Modestas Gedvilas, 24, also known as Giedrius Ramanauskas, was sentenced to 14 months in prison at Oxford Crown Court today.
He was found guilty of GBH by a jury at the same court on June 11.
The attack in the early hours of September 23, 2010, left a puddle of blood on the pavement outside a row of houses in Grenfell Road.
The victim, who was 32 at the time, had to be treated in hospital.
Gedvilas, of Earlsfield, Wandsworth, London, had been due to face trial in 2011 but skipped bail and disappeared.
He was only brought before the courts again after being arrested for a separate matter in London.
He was handed a 13-month sentence for GBH and an additional month for skipping bail. He has already served 200 days.
