Balance, coordination and flexibility were all skills showcased by schoolchildren at a gymnastics competition on Tuesday, November 15.
Youngsters from across Maidenhead and Ascot took part in the School Games Key Steps Gymnastics Competition, held in the sports hall at Newlands Girls' School.
About 150 pupils aged between five and 11 were competing in floor, body management and vault events in two categories - school-based and club-based gymnastics - at the Farm Road site.
The competition was organised by Kelly White, school sports coordinator at Newlands, supported by young gymnastics leaders from the school who acted as judges, team leaders and officials.
It was part of the new national School Games initiative, delivered in this area by the Ascot and Maidenhead School Sport Partnership.
Winners will go on to compete in next year's Berkshire School Games.
