Charity begins at bootcamp for a fitness firm which is backing SportsAble through its latest venture.
Trojan Training is encouraging people to take advantage of its exercise expertise by signing up for sessions from which proceeds will be donated to the disabled sports charity in Maidenhead.
The company is run by former army exercise instructor Chris Lee, who has taken the term 'bootcamp' back to its traditional sense with workouts based on military basic training.
"It sounds extreme and that can obviously put people off," he said.
"But it is absolutely open to anybody. You don't have to be ultra fit or ex-SAS to do it."
Old beer barrels, tyres, ropes and military rucksacks are among the items involved in the sessions, which are based outside whatever the weather.
They are designed to be fun and trainees can stop for breaks if the going gets tough.
Chris, who lives in The Wickets, is a keen supporter of SportsAble, which is based in Braywick Road.
"I try and do something with them or for them every year," he said.
This has included entering two teams in the charity's annual Wheelchair Push last year.
He said if he can sell 60 vouchers for the sessions and raise £1,200 for SportsAble he would be 'over the moon'.
The bootcamps will largely be run by Chris' colleague Pratik 'Tikki' Patel, and will be based at the Bodyzone Performance Gym at Braywick Park.
