A creative writing project led to a special trip to 10 Downing Street for 25 students from St Luke's Church of England Primary School in Cookham Road in Maidenhead on Monday.
Hashim Iqbal, 10, wrote to David Cameron asking him to come and visit the school as part of a class project. The Prime Minister was unable to attend but instead invited the class to visit his home and explore the sites.
St Luke's pupils were also treated to a visit from Olympic torchbearer Gina Macgregor on Wednesday.
Children were given the chance to touch the torch and ask Gina questions about her experience of meeting the Queen and Prince Philip during the relay on Tuesday last week.
