The annual Swan Upping which was due to take place in Berkshire today, has been cancelled.
The annual census of the mute swan population on the River Thames has been cancelled due to severe flood conditions on the River Thames.
The ceremony was due to start yesterday from Sunbury Lock, Surrey, and end at Abingdon, Oxfordshire, on Friday.
Today it was due to start at Eton Bridge at 9am, pass Boveney Lock, Boulters Lock and Marlow Lock at 5.30pm.
