A Lithuanian man has been found guilty of a brutal assault in Maidenhead almost two years ago.
Modestas Gedvilas, 24, also known as Giedrius Ramanauskas, was convicted of GBH by a jury at Oxford Crown Court on June 11.
The attack in the early hours of September 23, 2010 left a puddle of blood on the pavement outside a row of houses in Grenfell Road.
The man, who was 32 at the time, suffered serious injuries to his face and had to be treated in hospital
Gedvilas had been due to face trial in 2011 but skipped bail and disappeared.
He was only brought before the courts again after being arrested for a separate matter in London.
The Advertiser previously named him as one of 60 defendants who skipped bail in 2011 and were still on the run.
Gedvilas, of Earlsfield, Wandsworth, London, has been remanded into custody and will be sentenced on August 17.
Paramedics were called to the scene of a medical emergency in Maidenhead on Monday morning (June 27).
All lines are currently blocked between Reading and London Paddington stations due to a person being hit by a train.
