A teenager convicted of attacking an 18-year-old at the Thames Hotel in January has been given a 14-month detention and training order.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to 10 months at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday for committing GBH with intent.
A further four months were added because he had breached a youth rehabilitation order made last year.
The assault took place in the reception of the hotel in Ray Mead Road just after noon.
