Part of the A308 Furze Platt Road in Maidenhead is closed this afternoon after a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) veered off the highway and into a ditch.
The accident happened shortly before 3.30pm.
Police have closed the northbound stretch of the road between the junctions with Winter Hill Road and Pinkneys Drive pending the recovery of the vehicle.
A police spokesman said the southbound carriage is open and the driver of the vehicle is not believed to have been hurt.
It is not yet known when the northbound stretch will reopen.
