A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance after being injured outside a garage in Maidenhead yesterday.
Police were called to the Esso Service Station in Braywick Road at about 6.30pm following reports that a woman had been run over.
An eyewitness told the Advertiser he saw the woman holding onto a white van as it drove off out of the station before falling off and injuring herself.
A police spokesman said: "There was an incident initially called in as a 'woman hit by a van.'
"Police attended it and it appeared that the woman had tried to hold onto the van and fell off.
"She was taken to hospital but it was not a serious injury and she left the hospital off her own accord."
Police will not be investigating further.
