Driver released after M4 crash arrest

A driver who was arrested after a serious crash on the M4 has been released.

The 45-year-old man from Slough, who was driving a silver Lexus 220d, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a collision with a light blue Ford Mondeo at about 4pm on Saturday, March 17.

He was due to return to Loddon Valley Police Station tomorrow but has been released from his bail.

Police say no further action will be taken.

The other driver, a 31-year-old, was taken to Wexham Park Hospital with life-threatening injuries but was soon in a stable condition.

Drivers experienced long delays in the Maidenhead area after the motorway was closed eastbound between junctions 10 and eight for more than five hours.
