All Sure Start children's centres should be kept open and operational.
That is the recommendation on a report by the council's children's services directorate which is set to be put to the Royal Borough cabinet tomorrow night. It follows a consultation on the future of under-fives children's services in Windsor and Maidenhead.
Nearly 1,000 responses to the questionnaire sent out were received and a report will be discussed at a meeting at Windsor Guildhall.
But detailed options for the future management of the centres will be discussed during the second part of the meeting - from which the public are excluded.
The consultation was launched in January after the council announced it was considering closing some centres and introducing fees for parents in a bid to reduce the £1.4m annual cost of the services.
An e-petition in support of the South Ascot Children's Centre is also due to be considered at the meeting.
