The man or woman who will represent the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council during a momentous year of historic events will be announced on Tuesday.
It is an open secret there have been five councillors hoping to be chosen by colleagues as mayor of the Royal Borough from May - during which they will be involved in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and a host of exciting Olympic events.
The new mayor will take over Cllr Asghar Majeed. The successful candidate will be announced after the full council meeting at Maidenhead Town Hall.
