An empty shop unit has been given a new lease of life to help people with dementia in the community.
New charity Alzheimers Dementia Support (ADS) has opened a charity shop in the old Alzheimer's Society store opposite Costa Coffee on the High Street in Maidenhead.
Chairman David Jannetta said: "Everyone else is thrilled because we'll be getting a presence in the High Street which will give us more opportunity for raising awareness for people with dementia and their carers.
"We can start to reach out to more people and everything that comes from the shop will be going towards service delivery."
The charity launched in October to serve the needs of about 500 people with dementia and their carers in Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough.
It is looking for volunteers to help in the new shop and would welcome new donations. Contact Christine Price on 07516 165665 or Terrie Hall on 07516 165647 to volunteer.
