Pupils explored psychology at a conference at Newlands Girls' School in Maidenhead on Saturday.
At the Mind, Myths and Morals conference, held at the Farm Road school, 96 pupils from schools around the Royal Borough came to meet university psychologists.
Topics included the effects of nutrition on learning and memory, autism and language development and the teenage brain and emotions.
Psychology teacher Emma Nichols said: "The delegates had the opportunity to participate in ‘real’ research to gain experience of being a participant.
"The day was a huge success and was made possible by the large amount of support from local businesses who supported the event, as well as those local schools and universities who attended on the day."
