Mum thrilled by nomination for activity awards

A mum-of-two has been nominated in a national children's award scheme for her music and play sessions for children.

Liz Smale, of Cox Green Lane, Maidenhead, is competing for the most outstanding activity leader for under fives in the south, in the What's On 4 2012 Junior Awards.

The 31-year-old started running Hartbeeps sensory, play and music sessions for babies and toddlers last year after leaving a job in travel PR when she had her two children.

The mum of Freddie, five, and Ella, nearly three, said: "I'm thrilled and grateful the people who've attended my classes have put me forward for this award.

"I absolutely love my job, and all the babies, children and grown-ups who come every week."

Liz is through to the national voting stage where parents can log on to to vote for their favourite until Sunday, May 6.

Hartbeeps classes from birth to four are on Wednesday and Friday mornings at Four Marlow Road, and Advertiser readers can try it for free if they mention the Advertiser.
