Controversial plans to change a taxi licensing policy are due back before Royal Borough councillors later.
Members of the licensing panel are set to discuss the possibility of removing the limit on the number of Hackney carriage licenses operating in Maidenhead, Windsor and Ascot at a meeting at Maidenhead Town Hall.
It is recommended that they in turn recommend to full council the de-restriction of the license numbers from May 1.
It is suggested that five new licenses be issued each month from then on.
Hackney carriage drivers protested against the change in Maidenhead and Windsor last week as they fear the extra competition more cabs would bring.
But private hire drivers have handed a petition to the council in support of the proposals.
The meeting is set to start at 6pm.
