Tough tackles and fast footwork were put in by dozens of youngsters at a tag rugby tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
Year five and six pupils from 14 schools across Maidenhead and Ascot took part in the competition at Maidenhead Rugby Club.
A total of 24 teams of boys and girls descended on the pitches in Braywick Road.
Schools involved included Woodlands Park, Furze Platt, Holyport and Ellington, as well as Manor Green for the first time.
Victory was eventually clinched by Oldfield Primary School's A team which came face-to-face with the A team from Lowbrook Primary School in the final.
The tournament was organised by Ascot and Maidenhead School Sport Partnership, supported by the rugby club.
It was originally set to take place last month but rescheduled due to the bitter cold.
Both Oldfield A and Lowbrook A teams will now go on to represent the sport partnership in the Berkshire County Final, to be held in April.
