Poundland has been temporarily shut due to water damage with the company also confirming it is set to permanently close the store next month.
The budget retailer in Maidenhead High Street had to close today after water damage caused part of the ceiling to collapse.
A spokesperson for the company said work is being carried out to assess the scale of the problem and the work needed to re-open the store.
The store is set to permanently close on Wednesday, October 18 after the company failed to secure an agreement with its landlord to keep trading there.

A spokesperson for the company said: “I’m afraid we’ve been unable to secure an agreement with our landlord that would enable us to keep the store trading in Maidenhead.
“We know this will be disappointing to customers and we’re sorry we’ll be closing on October 18.
“It goes without saying we’ll be doing all we can to look after colleagues that work there.”
The former Wilko store at 88-90 High Street was saved from closure in September last year after Poundland stepped in to take over a number of Wilko shop leases.
Sorbon Estates, part of the Shanly Group, secured planning permission in April for a new shop-front for the ground floor retail unit as well as six new flats on the first and second floors.
Lloyds Bank also had to close its Maidenhead branch today (Tuesday) due to a water leak. The company has confirmed the venue will open as normal tomorrow morning.
