US pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson has agreed a deal to move into state-of-the-art offices at the Tempo building in Maidenhead.
The multinational firm confirmed to the Advertiser that it will be uniting all staff from its Thames Valley campuses at a new hub in Maidenhead town centre.
The former Three building has been undergoing major refurbishment over the past two years and the project is expected to be completed in spring this year.
Leading tool company Stanley Black & Decker announced in December that it will be leasing the top floor of the building once it opens.
A spokesman for Johnson & Johnson said: “The healthcare industry continues to change and evolve rapidly. As a patient and customer focused organisation, we actively listen to, respond to and anticipate the dynamic needs of the marketplace and our workforce to optimise how we deliver the healthcare breakthroughs of tomorrow to profoundly impact health for humanity.
“Johnson & Johnson in the UK has announced plans to unite all staff from our Thames Valley campuses in High Wycombe and Pinewood into one new hub in Maidenhead.
“The teams will be moving to Tempo, a new state-of-the-art office space, which has excellent sustainability credentials. Staff will continue to work at their current offices until the move, which is expected to take place in 2026.
“These steps will create new opportunities for our business and continue our leadership in meeting the needs of patients and customers who depend on our products every day.”
Building owners, Legal & General Investment Management, said they hoped the building would become ‘one of the greenest and most sustainable’ office blocks in the Thames Valley when work started on the project in March 2022.
A shared 5,000 sq ft roof terrace is planned as well as a ground floor café which will also be open to members of the public.
