A one-stop shop for all card gifting needs has opened on Maidenhead High Street.
Cards Direct opened to the public with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.
The six-person Maidenhead team was joined by team members from the High Wycombe branch as well as area manager, Matt Scholes.
He said: “As a business, we pride ourselves on making people smile – that’s our culture. We’ve got a brand new shiny store and we cater for all occasions and seasons.”
The retailer specialises in greeting cards, gifts, gift packaging, balloons and partyware at ‘direct-from-the-factory’ prices.
Currently, the shop is promoting its Valentine’s range and will soon move on to Mother’s Day.
Matt said Cards Direct caters for ‘every occasion with every caption you can think of’ by ‘consistently growing the range of cards’ on offer, including sympathy cards following the loss of a pet.
He added: “Retail is tough and you’ve seen the number of empty units there are in every town. This [opening] is about bringing back that joy of shopping and helping to rejuvenate town centres as well as having a successful business. Our main thing is to make people smile and cater to their needs with the products we sell.”
Cards Direct has 57 stores across the south of England.
