A party will be held at Maidenhead Library to honour and celebrate residents, community groups, and voluntary services.
The Communities Celebration 2023 is organised by the borough in partnership with NHS Frimley.
The aim is to showcase community projects, including the Community Champions, World Cafes, and Innovation Fund.
The party, which is being hosted on the ground and first floors of the library, will feature a live DJ and dance floor, free fun activities and food and refreshments.
Residents, community groups and voluntary organisations are invited, and organisers ask those attending to RSVP in advance.
Councillor Joshua Reynolds, the Royal Borough’s cabinet member for communities and leisure, said: “There’ve been some absolutely fantastic projects across the Royal Borough from our communities and local organisations this past year, coming together with the council and working as one.
"This event is our way of celebrating our communities’ successes, promoting what they’ve done so far, and setting out how we can all keep this momentum going during the coming year.
“This is all about showcasing the achievements of our varied and diverse communities and groups and is a great way for us to give them the spotlight.
"Equally, if you're looking to get more involved in your own community by setting up an initiative, or joining an existing one, this is also an opportunity to gain inspiration and meet people already doing great work.”
The party will take place on Friday, September 29 from 6.30pm until late.
Dr Stephen Dunn, director of system delivery and flow and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead place lead for NHS Frimley, said: “We’re delighted to be able to celebrate the achievements of our people, communities, and the organisations that ensure residents’ voices are heard and strengthened in the work we do.
“The World Cafés and Innovation Fund have been great examples of how by working with local communities and organisations, we can harness their knowledge and experience to support their ideas and help bring about a better outcome for local people’s health and wellbeing.
“It will be a great evening and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our communities and seeing as many people as possible there.”
