A villager who was pulled from the wreckage of a car crash moments before it burst into flames on New Year's day is still recovering in hospital.
The 34-year-old man, from Knowl Hill, was left in a critical condition after his black Mercedes crashed into a ditch in the A4 near the Seven Stars pub at about 4am.
A police spokesperson said he suffered numerous injuries including a punctured lung but is now recovering.
Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
He was dragged out of the car by two men who were driving back home after a night out.
