An Olympic silver medallist will be visiting six secondary schools across Windsor and Maidenhead to inspire young people.
Gail Emms, former world Champion and Olympic badminton player, will visit Newlands Girls' School, Cox Green School, Charters, Desborough, Furze Platt and Altwood School tomorrow and next week.
Emma Fitzgerald, partnership development manager for Ascot and Maidenhead School Sport Partnership, said: “Hearing her stories about what it’s like to take part in the Olympic Games and represent your country will be fascinating and who knows might even inspire one of them to go on and do that themselves”
The visits will be as part of the School Sport Partnership’s Olympic Inspiration Programme for 2012.
