Two men have been charged over burglary and car crime offences in Maidenhead following a police helicopter search which led to their arrest.
Martin Alan Bodman, 34, and Richard James Exell, 30, both from Southcote Road, Reading, have been charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance.
They were arrested in Reading on Wednesday last week in connection with a burglary at a property in Halifax Road, Maidenhead, when a blue Vauxhall Astra and electrical items were stolen.
They were charged on Thursday, and Bodman was also charged with attempted burglary with intent to steal at a property in Upper Bourne End, Bourne End on Wednesday last week.
The pair appeared at Slough Magistrates' Court on Friday where they were both remanded in custody until they appear in court on a date still to be fixed.
A third man, 20, from Reading, who was arrested alongside them on suspicion of attempted burglary with intent to steal, has been bailed until today.
