Pedestrian killed after collision with car on A404

A 26-year-old man from Maidenhead was in collision with a car and killed on the A404 near Burchetts Green this morning (Sunday).

Thames Valley Police say at about 2am the man, who was in the carriageway, was in collision with a black Audi A3 which had been travelling northbound near the turning for the A4130.

 

Police say the vehicle stopped after the incident. 

 

The road was closed by officers for an investigation but it has since been re-opened.

Investigating officer from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, PC Julie Stroud, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision on the A404 or who saw the pedestrian or the vehicle travelling prior to the collision. Anyone with any information, regardless of how insignificant they feel it may be, should contact police."
