Recent sunny weather will seem a distant memory this weekend as the South-east prepares to be battered by strong winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow severe weather warning for wind tomorrow (Saturday), affecting Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough, Bucks and Wokingham.
It said a spell of 'unseasonably strong southwesterly winds', accompanied by heavy showers, will spread east across the country throughout the day.
The weather warning will be in force between 2am and 9pm, and the Met Office said gusts are expected to reach 40-50mph inland, potentially leading to transport disruption.
