A preliminary hearing into the death of a 4-year-old boy at Wexham Park Hospital set the date of an inquest for the first quarter of next year.
Ghulam Akhtar, who lived at Cornwall Close, Maidenhead, died at the hospital on Saturday, December 22, 2012.
Krishma Patel, an advocate for the family of Ghulam, was present, as was an advocate for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, of which Wexham Park Hospital is a part.
It was the third preliminary hearing in the case, and Peter Bedford, senior coroner at Berkshire Coroner's Court, and the advocates finalised which witnesses will be summoned to the inquest.
No firm date was set.
The inquest is scheduled to last for four days.
