A Mini-clubman car was completely burnt out on the M4 today.
The female driver had got out of the car before fire crews from Maidenhead and Langley fire stations arrived at 12.45pm.
The hard shoulder and two lanes between junctions 7 and 8/9 westbound were closed while they put out the fire. The car has been totally destroyed.
Crews stayed to make the scene safe and clear debris from the road.
The cause of the fire is not known.
