Maidenhead United vs Solihull Moors.York Road, Maidenhead
Remy Clerima said he and his Maidenhead United teammates wanted it more than Solihull Moors after scoring the winner in Saturday's 1-0 win
Both sides had their chances in an entertaining contest at York Road but it was Maidenhead who pocketed the points thanks to Clerima's 92nd minute finish.
Tim Flowers' side began the better, and should have taken the lead in the early stages, but the Magpies gradually took control of the game and were the team trying to assert themselves in the second half.
Having hit the inside of the post through Ryan Upward's header, and missed a golden opportunity through substitute Danny Whitehall it looked like being another afternoon of frustration on home soil. But Clerima had other ideas, slamming home from Whitehall's flick in stoppage-time and only the most myopic of Solihull fans would argue they didn't deserve their victory.
Speaking after the final whistle, Clerima said: "It was amazing yeah. It was a tough game to be honest. We battled to the end and we didn't give up.
"It's a great feeling to score to the end. We were trying to push hard and that's not always easy. It's a tough team that we play against. But I think we wanted it the most so we got what we deserve I think.
"We are getting better and better defensively. We start from the front to the back and we're together.
"We're going to try to improve on that and stay unbeaten.
"We have been unbeaten for a while now, and that builds the confidence."
