Maidenhead United continued their busy close-season in the transfer market as they added experienced defender Joseph Ellul to their ranks.
The 30-year-old joins the club after a short spell in New Zealand with Tasman United where he made three league appearances, scoring once against Southern United.
Ellul will probably more familiar to Magpies fans for his time at Braintree Town, where the centre-half played a staring role in shutting Maidenhead out at York Road last season as The Iron came away with a 1-0 win in December.
The defender is Maidenhead's sixth signing of the transfer window and brings plenty of experience to York Road, playing 19 league games last season in the National League for Braintree Town, scoring two goals, including the winner against Gateshead FC, before making the switch to New Zealand in January.
He also previously played for the likes of Enfield, Billericay Town and Maldon and Tiptree, as well as enjoying promotion to the National League South in 2015/16 with East Thurrock United.
He joins Freddie Grant as another defensive addition to the Magpies squad during the close-season.
