Maidenhead United defender Max Kilman clinches Premier league move to Wolverhampton Wanderers

Maidenhead United defender Max Kilman has sealed a move to the Premier League by signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 21-year-old joined the West Midlands club on the final day of the transfer window for an undisclosed fee.

The Magpies youth team graduate established himself in Alan Devonshire’s first team last season and proved to be a versatile player across the back four and in midfield.

He scored his first goal for the club in spectacular style, firing home in the 94th minute to beat promotion-chasing Dover Athletic 3-2.

Kilman, also an international for the England Futsal team, made 54 appearances for United.

He follows the likes of Portugal international Joao Moutinho and Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore in signing for last season’s Championship winners.

A statement by Maidenhead United said: “Maximilian is very well thought of by all at the club and Maidenhead United congratulate this young prospect on an exciting move.

“We look forward with relish to following his future progress.”
