After a multi-million pound restoration, Cliveden House has been named the UK’s top holiday hotel.
The hotel in Taplow was presented with the award at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers Travel Awards on Monday, September 4 in London.
It is run by Iconic Luxury Hotels which also runs Chewton Glen in New Forest and The Lygon Arms in The Cotswolds.
Executive director Andrew Stembridge said: “I am not only immensely proud of the team at Cliveden, but acknowledge that this award is testament to the vision and generosity of our owners, whose tremendous energy and enthusiasm has enabled this restoration project to have been undertaken bringing this remark-able property back to its former splendour.”
