Family Friends in Windsor and Maidenhead would like to publicly thank Advertiser owner the Louis Baylis Trust for very kindly granting us £3,000 just before Christmas.
Our charity helps local children and families going through difficult times, helping them to get back on their feet and overcome a wide range of troubles.
We provide early support to families in need by helping children to develop their emotional wellbeing and by supporting mums and dads to develop their parenting skills. We are there as a friend to the family, offering both one-to-one professional support and group sessions, including our Positive Intervention for Children Affected by Domestic Abuse programme.
We run groups for children suffering with anxiety and evidenced-based parenting skills sessions. Our professional family support workers are backed up by an amazing band of nearly 40 volunteers.
The Baylis Trust grant will be vital in delivering our ‘Reaching Out’ project this year to identify local families who most desperately need the unique and life changing service we provide but who have not found us in the past.
The trust has been a great supporter of our charity over a number of years and this has been so important in helping us to deliver our key services.
Thanks again to the trustees and wishing you a Happy New Year from the whole team at Family Friends.
