Visual theatre which tackles difficult issues

Innovative puppetry, a striking set and an original score will transport audiences out to sea as they follow a fish’s journey from catch to plate.

Alf is a trawler fisherman, his experience, camaraderie and loyalty have put him and his boat at the top of the game. But times are changing and so is the industry.

How will Alf adapt in order to survive?

Whether it’s a seagull’s ridiculous attempt to find food or a father’s attempt to reunite with his son, In Our Hands will take the audience under the ocean and onto the deck of the Catcher’s Fortune.

The show is produced by award-winning theatre company Smoking Apples.

They produce high quality theatre that works with difficult subject matter, using puppetry and visual theatre.

Combining puppets, live actors and an identifiable and unique style of movement, Smoking Apples make their subjects enjoyable and accessible for audiences.
