A parody ‘to top them all’ will see Windsor panto favourite Kevin Cruise take to the stage for his sixth annual cabaret show.
Preparations for the show started in the dressing room during rehearsals for the Theatre Royal pantomime, which he has starred in for eight years.
This year he will bring the Musical Mayhem Show to parody a host of hits from the musicals.
This is the first time his cabaret show has come to Desborough Theatre at Maidenhead Town Hall.
Kevin, whose real name is Martin Cabble-Reid, said as a Maidonian he is looking forward to performing in his home town.
The larger than life performer will be putting his own stamp on songs from The Sound of Music, The Lion King and his personal favourite Cats.
On a comedy acting course in 2009 Martin came up with the Kevin Cruise character and in 2010 he made the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
He has been performing since then at holiday parks Haven, Butlins and Pontins which has gathered him a loyal following who love to dress up for his performances.
They came out in force for the launch of debut single Disco Cruise last summer, which featured Basil Brush.
“I am very excited, local audiences are the best, that’s why I love performing here,” said Martin.
“There is a group of people who come every year dressed up and wearing crazy things.
“The show is full of audience participation and they get me for two hours.”
Joining the star on the night will be a host of special guests as well as local performers and dancers.
Dressing up is encouraged and for the first time this year there will be an after show party. It will be open to everyone who attends and will offer the chance to meet Kevin.
