Speedy work by firefighters prevented an office fire in Bourne End from getting out of control.
Crews from Maidenhead, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe attended the incident in Marlow Road at about 1.50pm.
The blaze is believed to have started after a fire in a lightfitting spread to the building’s roof space.
Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire and Rescue Service later tweeted to praise the staff for their ‘evacuation, well-organised procedures and helpfulness’.
