As it happens: Maidenhead United vs Farnborough

The game finishes all square. Disappointing second half for the Magpies

Looks like Maidenhead have run out of ideas here....

90' Free kick opportunity for Maidenhead. Barratt sends it into the back post but Umerah is beaten to it and Robinson sends the ball out of play on the follow up. Disappointing 2-2

90' Four added minutes at the end of this game. 2-2

86' Barratt forces a corner with a deep cross from the left. 2-2

One of the Maidenhead players goes down in the box and the fans appeal. But the referee again isn't interested.

83' Sam Barratt replaces Jayden Mitchell-Lawson for the final 10 minutes.

80' Both teams still searching for a winner here. You wouldn't bet against it (for either side). 2-2

79' Robinson chances his arm from the edge of the area but it just fades wide of the post. Decent effort. 2-2

78' Jayden Mitchell-Lawson stands the ball to the back post where Popoola goes down again, but the referee doesn't think it's a penalty. 2-2

76' Manny Onariase and Asher Yearwood are replaced by Owen Cochrane and Harry Pritchard. 2-2

74' Two big chances at both ends. Farnborough very nearly capitalise on some shaky Maidenhead defending with Bloomfield trying to force the ball home from close range. At the other end, Dulson crosses for Popoola who slides well wide of the mark, much to the frustration of the fans behind the goal! This could now go either way! 2-2

72' GOAL! Clifford sends Van Stappershoef the wrong way and draws the visitors level 2-2

The Magpies looked to have this game won two minutes after the restart when Umerah scored. But Farnborough have fought back with goals from Bloomfield and Clifford

69' Penalty Farnborough! Billy Clifford has his legs taken in the box and the referee points to the spot.

66' Bloomfield flicks another effort over the bar for Farnborough from Bower's low cross. The visitors have come back into this after finding the back of the net. 2-1

Today's attendance at York Road: 1,048

60' Goal. Out of the blue, Farnborough are back in this through Mason Bloomfield's thumping header! Game on! 2-1

Maidenhead switched off in defence there and Bloomfield powered a header past Van Stappershoef from close range.

60' Another decent chance falls Yearwood's way. Ragguette flights in a cross from the left but the midfielder gets underneath his header and the ball flies over the bar.

56'  CHANCE! The ball drops for Asher Yearwood at the back of the area from a corner kick and the midfielder drills his shot into the crowded area, but the visitors manage to clear under pressure. 2-0

55' Maidenhead work the ball into the area patiently, and Umerah has the chance to turn and shoot, but instead he lays it off and Farnborough clear. The tempo has gone from the game right now. 2-0

The sun has come out at York Road and things are looking much rosier for Maidenhead. As it stands, they'll move up to ninth and within five points of the play-off places.

47' GOAL! Maidenhead double their advantage through Josh Umerah!

That was just what the doctor ordered for Maidenhead. Jayden Mitchell-Lawson hung up a cross to the back post where Umerah nodded past Reid. Magpies in full control now. 2-0

We're back underway at York Road. Maidenhead looking to add to their lead as they kick down the slope in the second half.

Half-Time: Maidenhead United 1-0 Farnborough

45 + 1: Nearly a sting in the tail of the half for Maidenhead. Farnborough break into the box through Billy Clifford and he fires just wide of the post! 1-0

45' Maidenhead should really have killed this game off. Yearwood pulls back a great ball for Popoola in the area but his left foot attempt is blocked. Might have helped the ball on for Dulson. 1-0

43' Half chance for Farnborough. Mason Bloomfield has the chance to turn the ball home at the near post but Manny Onariase gets a brilliant challenge in and it's a goalkick. 1-0

40' CHANCE! Popoola drives at the Farnborough defence and sends in a low cross that Umerah drag flicks towards goal, but Tommy Reid manages to block it away with his feet. Would have been a lovely finish. 1-0

38' Maidenhead go close again. Matt Robinson with a shot from the edge of the area that drifts well wide. They've played well today Maidenhead and deserve to be more than just the one goal in front. 1-0

33' Farnborough are almost caught again on the counter attack. The ball just running away from Mitchell-Lawson in the box. 1-0

Bit of a lull in the game with Farnborough appearing to have weathered the Magpies' storm for now. 1-0

25' Maidenhead go close again and Farnborough look to be struggling here. Dulson with another effort that cannons off a Farnborough player and goes behind for a corner. From it, Popoola dances into the area and the Magpies see several efforts blocked on the edge of the area, the latest by Asher Yearwood. Feels very much like a second goal is coming though. 1-0

Dulson has scored a number of goals like that this season. After Ragguette's shot was blocked, Maidenhead worked the ball well to the edge of the area where Dulson drilled the ball into the bottom corner. 1-0

23' GOAL! Liam Dulson fires the Magpies in front with a terrific low shot from the edge of the area! 1-0

Midway through the half and Maidenhead have had the better of the chances. But in fairness both teams have  looked lively, which is a credit to them given the  conditions

19' CHANCE! Maidenhead go close again. Good footwork from Popoola and Dulson before the latter lets fly from the edge of the area. His low attempt looks goalbound but it bounces off the heels of Umerah and deflects onto the outside of the post. So close. 0-0

18' Bower with another ball in from a free kick on the left but it bounces harmlessly through to Van Stappershoef. 0-0

12' Maidenhead force a corner from Josh Popoola's free kick. It's floated to the back post where Will de Havilland battles for the ball, but the referee spots an infringement and blows up for a foul. 0-0

10' CHANCE! Dangerous free kick on the edge of the area for Farnborough. Toby Bower whips it over the wall and against the crossbar! Ollie Robinson heads Bower's corner just wide from the resulting corner. 0-0

6' Magpies getting on top now. Jayden Mitchell-Lawson swings in a cross from the right that just eludes Josh Umerah who'd have had a point blank header. 0-0

5' Maidenhead go close. Ragguette with a daisy-cutter from the edge of the box that whistled narrowly wide. 0-0

4' The pitch is particularly sticky and stodgy down here in the left corner of the Bell Street End. It's going to cut up very badly and won't really aid either attacking team. Ragguette has just slung in a cross for Maidenhead but Tommy Reid collected. 0-0

2' Farnborough have made a bright start here. They've already made a couple of openings and Toby Bower got a shot away which was well-blocked. United on the back foot here to begin with. 0-0

1' The game gets underway at York Road. Farnborough have opted to play down the slope in the first half 0-0

The two teams take to the field. The York Road surface looks heavy but playable given the recent rain and postponements. Let's hope it stays dry! We're a couple of minutes away from kick-off!

The Magpies will be boosted by the return of forward Josh Popoola, who missed last weekend's defeat at Ebbsfleet.

Farnborough arrive here in the relegation zone, but having won their last league match at Eastbourne Borough 2-1.

Interim boss Ryan Peters thoughts on his side's recent form and today's game with Farnborough

And here's how today's visitors Farnborough line up

The Magpies line up today as follows:

Maidenhead United are back at York Road this afternoon against Farnborough and will be looking to get back to winning ways after a draw at Chesham United, and last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Ebbsfleet United. This is really a much-win game for the Magpies as they look to bridge the gap back to the play-off places. Last weekend's defeat leaves them seven points adrift of the top seven. They were victorious on their last outing here, though, a 3-0 home win over Enfield Town
