    National League South Maidenhead United vs Enfield Town

    78' GOAL! Barratt scores again in the 78th minute, tapping home from close range after Popoola and Dulson had both seen efforts blocked. The 10-men Towners are flagging a bit now! 3-0 1140

    76' Remy Clerima misses a big chance to make it 3-0. The ball is flicked on from a corner and Clerima seemed certain to score but he directs his header just wide. 2-0 

    75' Sam Barratt races onto a ball over the top and nearly pulls it back for the lurking Dulson, but the Towners clear! 2-0

    71' GOALLLL!!! Maidenhead seal it through Sam Barratt's penalty! 

    United caught Enfield on the break through Dulson's run. He slipped it into the path of Pritchard who was tripped and the referee pointed to the spot. 

    Barratt slammed the ball home from the spot to double United's lead. 2-0 

    71' Enfield having a spell of possession and territory. They'll need to make the most of these moments, but Maidenhead managed to win the throw down in their own 22. 1-0 

    69' Harry Pritchard replaces Jayden Mitchell-Lawson for Maidenhead 1-0 

    67' Half chance for Enfield. Avan Jones works his way into the area on the right and scoops a shot into the air that JVS manages to save fairly comfortably. An illustration that this game isn't over, even if they have the lead against the 10 men! 1-0 

    64' CHANCE! The ball almost breaks in the area for Sam Barratt from a cross, but he turns and swipes a shot over the bar! 1-0 

    60' GOAL! Maidenhead lead through Liam Dulson's strike! 

    Enfield won't be happy as they felt their was a foul in the build up, and they also had a man down in the area, but play continued and the ball was played to Dulson on the edge of the box and his low strike flew past Wright into the bottom corner! 1-0 

    57' Substitution: Miles Welch-Hayes is down receiving treatment. Magpies appear to be readying David Mantle to come on as his replacement. 

    53' Yearwood's shot is deflected over the crossbar after Mitchell-Lawson's cross from the right was only half-cleared. Maidenhead appear to be stepping up the pressure at the start of the half 0-0 

    51' Jaiden Celestine-Charles is replaced by Sam Barratt. Ryan Peters has said that if he's not happy with something he won't hang around when making changes. 0-0 

    50' Maidenhead have Enfield pinned in their own half, but the visitors are defending diligently so far with 10 men. Owen Cochrane sends in a left-footed cross that Yearwood nods wide at the far post. 0-0 

    48' CROSSBAR. Miles Welch-Hayes loops a header onto the top of the crossbar. Josh Wright never looked in trouble though as it bounced behind. 0-0 

    47' Having scored a cracker in the last game at Horsham, Robinson sends another thunderbolt strike flying just wide of the target. 0-0 

    Back underway at York Road. Maidenhead now chasing the first goal of this game against 10 men. 0-0 

    There will be two added minutes at the end of this half. The scores are level after a half of relatively few chances, but Maidenhead have a crucial man advantage heading into the second half after Donaldson was sent off for the Towners. 0-0 

    44' Adam Thompson now picks up a yellow for pulling back Celestine Charles on the edge of the box. Popoola - who's had a quiet game by his standards - fires over the bar from the free kick. 0-0 

    42' Best chance so far for Maidenhead. Dulson plays in Celestine-Charles on the right but he drills his shot wide of the mark. 0-0 

    39' Celestine-Charles goes down in the box for Maidenhead and fans appeal for a penalty, but the referee gives the freekick the other way. 0-0 

    38' RED CARD! Ruriadh Donaldson is shown a second yellow card after tripping Asher Yearwood! Towners are down to 10 men.

     

    36' Pinball in the Maidenhead area, but the ball just wouldn't fall for an Enfield player. If it had they'd probably have had a very good chance to score from close range, but Maidenhead survive. 0-0 

    34' Maidenhead force another corner. They've created very little so far, so might be looking to do something from a set piece - this one comes to nothing as the Towners' clear. 0-0 

    28' Lamar Reynolds battles for the ball with Remy Clerima before sending a floated cross over the crossbar. No real concerns for the Magpies there, but looks like a good battle between Reynolds and Clerima. 0-0 

    23' First real chance for the Magpies. Liam Dulson does well down the left and sends in a low cross that Celestine-Charles side-foots just wide of the post. Must have taken a deflection because the referee signals for a corner. That is well defended by Enfield. 0-0 

    20' Enfield just having a spell of pressure here and getting on top slightly. Maidenhead are trying to work their way through the visitors backline but have had little joy so far. Both sides defences on top. 0-0 

    17' Decent chance for Enfield on the break. Probably the best of the match. Adom-Malaki sends in an early cross from the left and Billy Leonard meets it on the stretch but sends the volley just over. 0-0 

    12' Wright whips in an early cross from the left for the Towners and Van Stappershoef fumbles it before regathering the ball. 0-0 

    11' Liam Dulson looks to get away from the Enfield backline with a ball over the top from Cochrane. But he slips as he takes it and the ball runs out for a goal kick. 0-0 

    10' Maidenhead have had plenty of possession in the opening 10 minutes and have Enfield pinned back in their own half but haven't managed to create anything clear cut as yet. 09-0 

    7' Another poor corner from Maidenhead's Popoola. This one goes straight into the hands of keeper Josh Wright. 0-0 

    4' Half chance for Enfield. The ball is played in for Oliver Knight who steals half a yard on Will de Havilland, but the Magpies defender recovers well to slide in and force the ball out for a corner. 0-0 

    3' Maidenhead force a corner on the right side through a blocked Owen Cochrane cross. It's whipped in by Popoola but goes straight out of play. 0-0 

    1' We're underway at York Road. Magpies immediately on the attack trying to work some space in the Enfield backline. 0-0 

    The two teams are out at York Road. Enfield in yellow and blue for this game. A kit very reminiscent of Maidenhead's away strip from their promotion season. 

    Coventry City's on loan player, David Mantle, has gone straight into the Magpies' squad for today's game. 

    Maidenhead United are also calling on supporters and residents to have their say, and help 'shape' their proposed stadium move to Braywick Park.

    Some in game reading for you if you wish. Maidenhead and Enfield have very different aspirations this season. United looking to get back in the promotion picture, while Enfield will be looking to ensure they finish outside the bottom four.

    Maidenhead United have one new face in their squad this afternoon, with David Mantle having arrived on loan from Coventry City. He starts on the bench. There's a start though for Millwall loanee Jaiden Celestine-Charles

    Here's a preview of this afternoon's fixtures, including Maidenhead's clash with Enfield Town.

    Maidenhead United get back to competitive action with a home game against relegation threatened Enfield Town at York Road. It's been two weeks since the Magpies last played, when they came from behind to beat Horsham away with a cracking late volley from midfielder Matt Robinson. Win today and they'll lift themselves back into play-off contention. It will also be their sixth win in eight matches. 

    Enfield have been struggling for results of late and haven't won any of their last six matches. They held the Magpies to a goalless draw in the second game of the season back in August.
